Ahhh Carnival, not only the biggest street party in the UK, but the whole of Europe no less!! Thus, when your monthly Sunday club night happens to be housed at the appropriately monikered Notting Hill Arts Club, right, slap, bang, in the thick of it all, there comes one month of the year when the ruckus is even louder…

Yes people, Boogiedown does Carnival!!!

Who better to join Uptownboogiedown’s stellar residents JAFAR & MAXIME CESCAU, than a DJ as much a part of Carnival as the Rice and pea, KEITH ‘KCC’ FRANKLIN. Alongside Sancho Panza and Good Times, KCC AND THE ROCKING CREW are one of the largest House Rigs at Carnival, building them a loyal and respected following year after year. Their main man Keith heads down to bring the KCC Afterparty vibes. Rounding off the DJ package, is the inimitable MR. CHEX from the excellent Funk Royale Night. On the live art shenanigans this month, Uptownboogiedown proudly showcase their new Artists in residence, French graf trio 3MEGABITS. We found them feverishly working away under the pavements of London bridge late one Thursday night and just had to have them to join us! A truly superb set of talents. To round off proceedings, Uptownboogiedown will be bringing the outdoors, indoors as they totally transform the venue into a ‘MAGICAL SUMMER MEADOW’(minus the cowpats). The Bar will be stocking special Boogiedown Carnival Punch, there’s Rice&Pea, Curry Goat and cheaper £6 entry until 8pm (We strongly advise arrival before then, Carnival’s Soundsystems switch off at 7pm and last year saw one in one out at the Arts Club by 6.30pm!!). So BLOW YOUR WHISTLE and blow it loud, cos its going to be a riot!!!!!
